My daughter just turned 10, not a tall 10 thought. I was a little concerned these might be too big, but they fit well.The big Pros for these Jr pads is by far the quality and comfort. If you have kids, like me, that have had the cheap starter pads from Target or Amazon that totally wore out and/or were uncomfortable, scratchy and slid all over the place – these are what you’ve been looking for. My daughter is much more comfortable with these, they don’t move around and the velcro doesn’t touch her skin. The fabric is a little hotter than just velcro straps, but she complained about heat in the old ones as well. She’s sucking it up.One other advantage is the recognizable name – we see the olympic skaters wearing Pro-Tec as well and that does help with the cool factor and that everyone needs to wear pads!

I got these for a slightly bigger than average 8 year old boy and they are almost too small. Kids are all different, and the Kids size pads are for pretty little kids. If your boy is approaching 4’8 you might consider the adult small set as an alternative. OTOH: a tighter fit does stay on and protect better.Construction of the product looks as good as expected. The multi-color set is hard to find, and I waited a long time. The black ones (I also got a set of those for other child) are just as good and easy to find.

Protech has quality products. This is why I chose this product. The product itself is fine. This was a present for my granddaughter for Christmas. The product did not come as described is in a box. When I asked the company about this they said it would cost too much to ship in a box.

We tried several other sets before ending up with this one. Very happy with this set. My daughter is 9 and recently started skateboarding. The pads fit well and my daughter says theyβre very comfortable and also protective when she falls. Great buy!
