7/20/18 Update: 2026 miles on these wheels so far and what can I say? I canβt complain about anything. The wheels are as true as the day I received them. No issues with the spokes or hubs. The carbon breaking surface shows virtually no wear. I will be buying another set when the time comes. Honestly I donβt see any reason NOT to buy this set of wheels. The price canβt be beat compared to a βname brandβ set of wheels.2/8/18 update: 808 miles as of this review. Not a single issue with this set of wheels. Iβve been very happy with this purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking at getting a set of carbon wheels. As with any product, there will always be the exception, but so far I have nothing bad to say about them.As for the reviews showing delamination and failure, my question is weβre the wrong brake pads used? Pad MUST be for carbon wheels.8/24/17 Update: 458 miles on these wheels so far and not one single issue. My last big ride was the 2017 Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day. aka (RAMROD) with over 10,000 feet of elevation the ride had plenty of downhill as well…. Proper adjustment of the brake pads is paramount in order to prevent the brake shoe squeal!!! Mine don’t make any noise. Very Happy with these wheels and feel the quality is equal to if not better than some of the more expensive name brand wheels. Not to discredit the name brand wheels, my point is the price is right for these wheels and if a carbon wheel is what you want to try, you don’t need to spend a small fortune. I will continue to Update my experience as i feel it’s important to share the information.7/6/17 Update: I’ve ridden 300 miles on the wheels so far. Not as much as I would have liked to, but a slight leg injury hampered my riding. However, no issues found so far and the wheels are as straight as they were when I first received them. One note though, yes, they did squeal when I first set the brakes up; it was actually annoying. Fortunately for “YouTube University” I found the proper way to set the brake pads. No more squeal with a little “toe in” set up.. the actual difference is a playing card thickness measured at the Aft end of the brake. Seems to work great.I’m riding two big rides this month. I will posts more as I complete the rides..I have a 2012 Spcialized Tarmac pro and my original wheels needed some maintenance and trueing. In the mean time I wanted to keep riding and for really no reason at all I searched amazon for 700c carbon fiber wheels and these superteam wheels came up.. I was shocked to see they were only about $350; a fraction of what other name brand composite wheels were being sold for… hesitant I read every single review that was posted…Of course doing an online search of superteam wheels brings up the usual “made in China junk, you get what you pay for, etc etc etc…” unfortunately and I hate to say it, but every one that made negative comments about these wheels probably wrote it with a “made in China” phone or computer. Everything is made in china nowadays..however I don’t want to make that point with this review. The wheels were very well packaged, very straight and I didn’t see any issue with the carbon layup…honestly a large portion of what I read online additionally to all the amazon reviews were positive. So without hesitation I ordered a set and had the chance to ride the bike last Saturday. Rode for 53 miles and found at this point noting negative to say about them.. My buddy paid over $1200.00 for a set of BMC carbon wheels… will they hold up as long? Not sure so we will see..So far, it’s an excellent opportunity to see what carbon wheels look and feel like for a fraction of the cost. Am I worried about failure? No more than with any other wheel. More so I’m afraid of being hit from behind as I’m riding the white line…. it is what it is right? I’m certainly not a pro rider of any means, nor am I some young gun under 30 years old… I’m 52 just trying to keep at it, and keep my bike updated with what works and not breaking the bank. I bought my bike used as well…it was 4 years old when I bought it and have put over 3500 miles on it since 2016…If a future review is warranted, I will post it. As it is now, I’m happy with my purchase!?

I received these July 31 and have put almost 400 miles on them. First the positive:1) Really good customer service. The initial order said it would take until September to arrive. I emailed the seller to ask about that, and was assured they would be here much sooner. They arrived about a week after I ordered them.2) Wheels were perfectly true out of the box (I have a truing stand and ran both front and back on it – neither had any issues. This made it fairly easy to install – my only issue was particular to me. These rims are a decent bit wider than what I had, and it took me several tries to get the brakes dialed in – my first trial run was beset by brake rubbing, and I had a similar problem on a long ride the next day. This was my error, but be aware if you get these and do the work yourself, take plenty of time to get the brakes dialed in before setting out.3) The wheels feel very nice (from a ride perspective). I replaced a set of wheels with Alex 28mm rims. These ride much, much better. Part of that is probably accounted for by the wider tires I’m running, though those tires are gatorskins which tend to ride worse than the supersports I replaced.4) The wheels feel fast – this may be psychological, I admit. I have been faster on my usual routes, but I’ve also been putting in a lot of miles the last few months. When cruising along above 17MPH, especially above 20MPH, they feel different, at least I’ve convinced myself they do. FWIW, my 16 year old things they feel fast as well. It’s hard to quantify the difference without better power data than I have.5) The value proposition. I probably would not have purchased deep carbon rims had I not found these. I was looking at a few other lower cost options (Light wheels, lower end Reynolds or Mavic), but would have waited longer. These feel great, particularly for the price.6) Looks. I posted a pic of them on my bike above. Again, this is subjective, but I think they look really nice on the bike. Does this matter? Not really, but I’m ok with a little vanity here and there.7) a few details on my ride – I’m riding a small Ridley Fenix frame with 105 throughout (other than brakes and crank). It was not a light build (just over 20 lbs). These wheels are noticeably lighter than what I had.Negatives1) The rear hub is very, very loud when freewheeling. Louder than the mavic ksyriums on my old Orbea that I’ve handed down to my son. Some like louder hubs – people on the trail certainly here me coming – but they are a little loud for me.That’s all I have to say that is negative. I am thrilled with this purchase. At the price I paid, even if they don’t last as long as Zipps or HED or Reynolds or DT Swiss, I’m good with it. I’ll update if I start having any issues, but 400 miles in I couldn’t be happier (other than not having a bit of brake rub on the first 10 miles of a 67 mile ride).Update: I now have about 1400 miles on these wheels, and I’m still quite happy. They are still true and, at least mentally, they feel faster than what I had. My only issue with them continues to be the brakes on my bike – not the wheels fault. One way my bike was such a good price was that the crank and brakes were a lower spec than the 105 of everything else. The brakes are hard to keep well adjusted.

I was definitely skeptical, but ultimately decided to take a chance and buy these wheels. Iβve put about 2000 to 3000 miles on these wheels so far, and they have been awesome. Iβve raced a couple of triathlons on these wheels including a 70.3 Iron Man. There have been no issues with braking/braking surface delaminating, wheels staying true, or any cracking/defects. Iβm glad I didnβt have to spend $2k+ to get the benefits of aero carbon wheels. Will purchase again.
