   It’s a nice upgrade, the performance is awesome. I think it’s like having DE xx1 without breaking the bank.

   It is heavier than say the NX but that’s because it completely made out of metal. Shifts are stiffer, crisper? I dunno it just feels sturdier. The downshift lever is adjustable and it seems like it sits lower or more forward than NX or GX. Also, I could swear that you can down shift 5 gears at a time which is better than NX and GX, in those you can only down shift 3 gears at once. Would recommend a very nice upgrade from what ever you have now.

   Updated Drivetrain. Paired this with GX derailleur and crankset. Used an XX1 Black chain. It’s nice that Eagle is universal. I like the adjustment that can be made with the larger paddle on this shifter. Feels great.

   I went from a stock NX shifter to this one. I never knew how ” just a shifter” could make a difference. Hard to beat that crisp clicking sound. I’ve read that the GX are really good & this X01 wasn’t “necessary” but it was a splurge on my part & have no regrets.
