It is not such expensive as DT Swiss or others but not cheap product. It works fine and roll is wonderful and smooth like a silk. I rebuild my old wheel that has freewheel using this hub and I’m very happy. No more bent axle problems with free hub. Highly recommend because it is decent product.

Bought this to build a wheel to replace my old wheel that the sub Deore free hub that was skipping. Built it up, and it skips too. Not as bad as the old crappy one, but more than I expected from XT. I should have just bought a nice single speed / freewheel type hub, but I was on a budget and the price was right. It will probably last me long enough to save up for something nicer.

I plan on using this to build a new wheel for my mountain bike to replace the stock stuff. By the weight & feel of this hub it seems pretty durable. Seems much more reliable than the stock hub on my bike. The price is pretty hard to beat if your looking to upgrade from the stock stuff or replace a damaged hub. Anything Deore XT & up is better than the stock stuf when it comes to bike hubs. The only problem is it is the radius of the hub is not to size compared to my stock hub so I wont be able to use it with my stock spokes. Took it to my local bike shop to see how much it would be to swap my stock hub for this hub & they had me quoted at a little over $100!I figured it may be cheaper to source new spokes & a new rim & build my own wheel at half or less than half the price it would have costed me to have my local bike shop swap the hub. I’ll just have to look up some tutorial videos on YouTube to figure out how to build my own bicycle wheel. The packaging was terrible. They’re just lucky the product was reliable enough to survive the shipping. The box was flimsy cardboard that looks like it came apart during shipping! & it was wrapped in a USPS padded flat rate envelope. I know I chose free standard shipping here but come on, its almost as if they had a chimp working the shipping department. Other than bad packaging the shipping speed was decent. I ordered it on a Monday & came by mail on Saturday.

Used this hub on my 26″ giant stp dirt jumper. Takes abuse no problem and hasn’t skipped a beat. I also will ride park and Street and it has held up to abusive drops and jumps no problem. For the price you just can’t beat it.

not light but I’m not a racer. This thing is as hard as woodpecker lips.

This hub is surprisingly tough it has survived numerous drops more than 5 feet tall with no problems. Only downside it is heavier than most new hubs.

I acquired this hub to replace the OEM freewheel hub my bike had. This is a 10 speed cassette hub and although I just replaced my seven speed freewheel by a seven speed cassette, my bike is now ready for a larger cassette upgrade (of course with the addition of other components too). Very happy with this purchase. I needed to use a 2.5mm spacer to make the 7 speed cassette fit properly.
