I got this because I didn’t want to pay $600 for a comparable Yakima or $1,000 for a Thule. Also, I didn’t want a rack that stuck out too far from the hitch. Overall, this is a good bike rack. It seems well built and is relatively lightweight. The downside is how much effort it takes to mount bikes onto it. Unlike other models, this rack does NOT have adjustable wheel cradles (several others allow the cradles to slide left or right for bike placement). This means that if your bike’s seat hits another bike’s handlebars, you can’t just slide it over to one side a few inches. Your only option is to find a different position for your bike. In my case, every position I tried, the high saddle on my gravel bike hit the handle bars of other bikes. I actually needed to use a hex key to lower my seat. Also, many other racks have an upside-down “J” bar that clamps down on the bike frame. This model has straps that loop around the frame. While I think the straps may actually be more secure, they are a PAIN to attach. They are not permanently attached to the rack, so they tend to fall off the rack. They require threading through a slot on the rack, looping around the frame, threading through a plastic gasket, and threading through a metal latch. That’s a lot of threading. Overall, I think it takes more effort to load bikes onto the rack than it does to put down the rear seats in my wife’s mini-van and roll each bike in (even if I have to remove front wheels).I am concerned that the plastic wheel straps and latches are a weak point and may eventually break. Some other reviewers complained that their came broken — I could see that happening. If that does happen, I will just replace the plastic strap with a fabric strap (like they ones they have for the frames). The bikes did feel very secure once loaded, but I will be looking for easier ways to mount the bikes, as this is not practical. If you don’t have the option to load the bikes into the back of a minivan, this is rack is still a great buy. If you’re looking to save time loading bikes for a quick trip, this rack is probably not going to save you time.By the way… Do NOT get the Master Lock they recommend as “frequently bought together” with this rack — IT DOES NOT FIT! This rack requires a “threaded” lock pin. The Master Lock is not a threaded pin.

Really sturdy excellent build quality and fasteners, understand that if you’re running some of the newer wide rim also known as wide trail 2.5 tires on your full suspension or hard tail. You will definitely have to deflate the tires a bit to get them to fit. Just make sure you bring a tire pump is all. I will say driving around the Allegheny hills the rack was extremely secure and I never felt at any time It was bouncing around on the hitch or wouldn’t hold. The bikes were extremely secure in their mounts, I like the retention systems we’ll see how they last over time. Either way definitely one of the better values for the money.

As a BMX racer with 3 other racers in the household I needed a better way to transport bikes 4 days a week. I have been using a hanging rack but as everyone progressed the bikes got more expensive and that shaky old rack was making me nervous. I began looking at different options and while an enclosed trailer worked the best it wasn’t practical. I couldn’t swallow the price tag of the other racks without trying the cheaper ones first. This guy has exceeded my expectations. Its been used daily for the past week and feels secure with the additional hitch stabilizer clamp. My only concern is how the upper straps fall off if not secured after a bike is taken off, I see a loss in the future when someone forgets to secure it after taking their bike off but I’m sure I can figure out something if it becomes an issue.

I’ve had this rack for a couple of months now and I’m very impressed with the value. It’s certainly not as refined as the big name rack companies out there but for how much this is, you get a sturdy rack that fits four bikes. One thing to note though is that if you have modern enduro/trail bikes with boost spacing, fatter tires, and longer wheelbases, you’re gonna be maxing out the settings on this rack. The fit is also incredibly tight if you do plan to fit four of these MTBs on the rack. I bought 10mm closed cell foam that I cut into squares to pad where the bikes are a little too close to each other. The straps are also short depending on your tire/rim combo. If you run tubeless and already ride with lower pressures you can make it work. One thing that’s annoying with this rack is that you can’t use a regular hitch pin as they opted to weld a nut in the hole to use with their threaded pin.Otherwise for road or narrower trail bikes this thing could easily fit 4. Doesn’t come with a lock, but there are cheap cable locks to be found wherever

We originally had a different bike rack and hated it. Then, we saw someone else with this rack. He was raving about it. So we got one. I’m so glad that we did. It’s very easy to mount 4 bikes of any size and it’s very sturdy. We’ve travelled long distance with it and 4 bikes with no issue at all.

I purchased this bike rack a year ago, but I finally got around to using it this past weekend. It was super easy to put together and install on my vehicle. I’m not an especially handy person! It seems to be sturdy and held my bike securely. I would definitely recommend this bike rack to someone who is looking for an affordable, easy to use option.
