I have a hybrid bike, which is much heavier than a normal bike, so I needed something stronger than most of the top tube adapters I saw on Amazon. This seems to be heavy duty, there are no weird rivets supporting all the entire weight of the bike like some of the others I saw.But it’s way too long. My bike is not a even a small bike – I had to get a bike rack because I couldn’t fit this bike in the back of my car. But this product is at least an inch too long to fit securely. I slipped some thick socks over the hooks to give it a tighter fit. It’s not ideal, but it’s all I have on hand at the moment. I think it will be ok for short trips on smooth roads. I’m mainly concerned about it shaking and scraping up my bike. I don’t think it will come off. But I’m definitely going to use some backup straps just in case.Update: I slipped some rubber hose over the ends. It decreased the distance between the hooks just enough to make it work, and it looks much better than socks. I was able to transport my bike, and even went a few miles the freeway at 65 mph with no issues.

update: No complaints except I think the adapters should not be metal. These tend to scratch and chip the paint on the inside of your fork. I think a hard plastic would be less harsh on your paint.I needed an adapter to my seasucker rack and a truck/SUV slide track fork mount I have by Rhode Gear. Both of which are quick release. As you can see from my photos, it’s my Trek Madone with a 122mm thru axil. It comes with adapters to fit any bike. This should pop right on to a quick release style mount just fine.

Just got this today. Pulled my front mountain bike tire off my Rockhopper (29×2.35) to see if it would fit and it is just a little short if I mount it on a flat surface. The skewer comes to the edge of the slot for mounting but wont drop down far enough to close the skewer. Now, this is a good quality mount, but it wont fit “Any Tire” as it says in the advertisement. I think it will fit smaller tires than mine. I am going to mount this on a 2×6 board and put it in the bed of my truck. If I mount it at the edge of the 2×6, it should elevate it enough that the tire is below the 2×6 and the skewer will drop right in. So, on larger tires, it wont work if they are both mounted flat on the same level. You will have to elevate the mount or have it mounted on a vertical surface while the tire is suspended or resting on the ground. Hope this makes sense. I would give it a 5.0, but I am giving it a 4.5 because it wont fit any size tire as advertised.

I have a 29″ XC bike that will not fit in the back on a tacoma with both wheels on so I bought this to attach to a custom rail system I built for my 2022 Toyota Tacoma. It feels well built, thick, and sturdy… just like the captain of the softball team.If you raise the front fork roughly 18.5 inches, you can close the tailgate. Barely. The snug fit hold the bike in place with the front fork locked into the mount.I’m driving from NC to upstate NY to bike in the Adirondacks. I’ll drive back in a week. It’ll be 1800 miles round trip. I’ll update this when I return with (or without) the bike in the back of the truck. Wish me luck.UPDATE: Made it there and back safely. Mount is awesome. It worked well for what I needed.

I installed two of these on a two-by-four. One of them got a good test. It held the bike upright through turns and curves on local and highway roads in the bed of my truck. It is a high-quality material and I expect they will last for a long time.

I donβt transport my bicycles very often but needed a low cost way to secure 2 time trial bicycles for a 500 mile trip. I came up with a quick and dirty solution to install two of these mounts without drilling my bed in a 2021 Tacoma. They bicycles were very secure and it worked well. Beats a $640.00 tule especially if your not going to use it often.

I was honestly not expecting much for this price. When I opened the package I was surprised! This is built pretty damn solid and feels like it is going to last a while.I need to use some through bolts to mount it better, but I have 0 doubts that this is going to be worth way more than I paid for it.Pro Tip: Leave the red cloth on it! Unlocking that when it is tight is a pain without that “pull strap”. I am probably going to throw some paracord on there to be safe.
