New bike, new helmet. After a serious bike-car accident the helmet was destroyed and I escape with a bad concussion – but no lasting problems. Always wear a helmet when bicycling – and replace it every year!

This helmet provides the extra layer of necessary protection for the head in the event of an accident. The MIPS system is an extra layer. The cushions can be taken off and washed as needed also. A pediatrician once told me when encouraging that my child wear a bike helmet, “I can fix her arms and legs if she falls, I can not fix her brain.”

We got a “medium”. That fits an average adult head well. There is an adjustable head strap (in addition to the adjustable chin strap.) Appears well made.
