   I paid a lot for my crossbars, I guess it’s worth the price to protect them. These locks were extremely easy to install. They appear to work just fine. I’m not so sure though if a seasoned thief still couldn’t get it if he wanted to. I guess only time will tell.These locks don’t come with the crossbars. I think for the price you pay for the crossbars the locks should’ve been included. You’ll read many other reviews that say the same thing.I bought the eight pack. It’s only a couple more bucks than a six pack. However I didn’t eat eight. The other four will go for the cargo basket I bought for the top of my jeep. It didn’t come with locks either.

   I purchased a Thule T2 Classic trailer hitch bike rack that did not come with locks on the tire lock bars so I don’t have to use an alternative method to secure the bike/s while in store or restaurant. Swapped out the cylinder of the locking pin that came with the rack so that they are all use the same key. Would have been nice to buy cylinders that matched the locking pin. Now, I have no use for that one.

   Product could use a clear set of installation instructions but thanks to YouTube it turned out to be an easy install on my 13 year old roof rack.

   This is the standard thule locking system. It prevents people from taking the crossbars off your vehicle. It installs very easily onto your crossbars, you just need to pop the plastic screws out and put the locking ones in. You will need to buy as many as you need in one box so you don’t have a bunch of different thule keys. Make sure you mark your keys if you already have separate keys for attachments on the top. If you lose the keys you can order more keys from thule, you need to save the numbers on the keys.

   As with all my purchases from Thule, the quality and presentation meet and exceed expectations. I really like that this set came with 3 keys too.

   After reading through the material I was able to replace all the plastic nuts on my roof rack within about 15 minutes. The kit includes the master key to aid in installation a well as two matching keys to allow locking and unblocking the rack. After securing my room rack I also have extra locks which I can use with thule accessories on my roof rack system.
