I bought this add-on to the Kuat and the whole system is awesome! I gave only 4 starts because the add-on was scratched when I opened the box. The box was not damaged so it was damaged when placed in the box. You can plainly see in the attached photos the distinct line or the nice original Kuat v. the scratched add-on. Not acceptable for something this expensive. I’ll scratch it myself. I did not contact seller or manufacturer since it will get scratched over time anyway.

I have the 2 bike and add 2 bike kuat 2.0. the add on is just as nice but 2 things to improve:1.they are keyed different…..so i have 2 keys instead of 12. with the add on it is heavy and a chore to raise and lowersuggestion is to use a lighter stronger metal so lighter!

Can be a little bit of a PIA to put together, but excellent rack

Quick shipping! Arrived a day earlier than promised. Very sturdy and allows to transport a variety of bikes. I finally upgraded from a Thule big horn rack and am not disappointed. Easily cradles a 29er, no issues! Worth every cent.

Great Bike Rack! I donβt mind. Spending the money on something with a lifetime guarantee and something that can handle any bike I purchase in the future despite Frame design. Only catch is with 4 bikes

I would recommend Kuat bike rack to anyone who is looking for rock solid and good looking bike rack. Assembling was fairly easy.

I got the base rack, this extension, the workstand, the HiLo (extension), and a hitch lock. It’s good stuff. I wanted to get the Sherpa but my wife wanted the ability to haul friends’ bikes, too. She drives a Jeep Wrangler and I have to admit that it is fun to pile into her toy car with the top and doors off and go on adventures like high school.I was concerned that this one is so heavy that she wouldn’t be able to remove/install it by herself, or even operate it. It’s easy enough for anyone to operate, and we just leave it on. For people with short arms and this extender installed, you will have to figure out how to stand to be able to reach the latch. My wife is 5’0″ and she can raise and lower the rack and get her own e-bike onto the rack. She lifts the front tire onto and just rolls it into place. The hardware that holds the bikes is easy to use and reliable so far. We drove from Kansas City to Des Moines, IA (2.5hrs) for a weekend and the bikes didn’t budge. There isn’t much to say about gear like this – there are no issues. Everything works like you would expect, and it vanishes into the background.Oh, one gripe – they don’t offer a lock that both holds the HiLo firmly AND is keyed the same as the rack/extension.

I was shocked at how well this addition rode. I was worried it would bounce and it was so impressive! Kuat did an amazing job!
