Upon receiving the Topeak MTX Trunkbag EXP, the bag did not have the plastic track with the attached Quick-Release yellow hook, which is what makes the entire bag desirable for attachment to the Topeak QR BeamRack MTX Bike Rack (E Type). It looks like it was originally there on the bag, but was removed prior to my purchase and receipt. I’ve called the seller several times and have left messages, but have yet to get a return call. This Trunkbag is currently useless, as is. I could strap a duffel bag or milk carton on my bike and achieve the same results, as the current bag without the track rail and attachment hook. My Topeak MTX TrunkBag EXP has now been returned to the seller for an exchange for the same bag. I will hopefully be revising my rating to a much better review upon receipt of the new bag. When I originally ordered the bag it only took 10 days to arrive. Unfortunately, the replacement is not scheduled to arrive until mid-June more than a month and a half delayed delivery from my return and request for a new bag. I received the exchanged Trunkbag on Monday, May 10th, and it is exactly what I wanted. Apparently, the delay for turn-around was dependent upon the seller receipt of the faulty exchanged bag. Once they received that bag the exchange was expediated. The rail system and the latching mechanism are awesome and can easily be removed and installed to my wife’s Topeak Beamrack….no pain, no strain. I have revised my rating from a 1-Star to a 4-Star and would have gladly rated it a 5-Star, because it is a great bag, had it not been for the major inconvenience of the entire re-boxing, finding and dropping off the former Trunkbag to a UPS store, and then waiting the lengthy additional time for the new delivery (and not getting as much as an “I’m sorry for your inconvenience” message or some for of apology compensation).

I never thought I would be as happy with this as I was. The center bag without the foldable panniers has enough space on the inside for a tool kit, an inner tube (or two), a snack, and some other essentials like a wallet and keys. It also comes with a divider, so you can keep your things separate, as well as a strap to carry it with you. Of course, the panniers have held a change of work clothes for me with plenty of room to spare. When it comes to commuting, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I don’t even see any manufacturing flaws! Being able to press a button to slide it off is a great system for me. It gets a little stuck sometimes, but I’ve never had too much difficulty pulling it off. It also hasn’t come loose and fallen off the bike as I was riding, like some other people have said. Just make sure that when your panniers are unzipped, that you use the loop on the bottom of them to hook them into place so they don’t bounce around.I would definitely recommend this product to beginner and intermediate level bikers.

Works well. Seems a little heavy for what it is and rattles on the rack. I may add a piece of foam or something under it to sturdy it up. But overall it works really well. The panniers are “ok”, I wouldn’t overload them as the seams don’t look like they could take much.Overall, happy with the product. Mainly used for commuting and local rides. For touring I’ll use something different, maybe some dedicated panniers and just strap a drybag to the rack.

This bag is the best. Hidden panniers are awesome.

I own two of these. Saddlebags hold a week of groceries (excluding ice cream). They roll up out of the way leaving top bag for incidental use. Easy fit to rack. I added small padlock to secure bag to rack. Zippers are sturdy.

I really like this bike trunk for the most part. It holds quite a bit of stuff and the panniers are easy to fold up & stash when not in use. It fits well on my Topeak rack and is easy to remove and put back on. The thing I don’t like about it is that it fades so bad. I just replaced my old one this spring because it had faded so bad. This new one has already started turning from dark black to gray. I keep it covered other than when riding. The outdoor cover I have for the bike which is in the sun all the time hasn’t faded at all. It really looks bad when the panniers are in use because the pannier compartments don’t fade equally. I will probably be buying another product next time. So disappointing.

Works as intended. Easy click install with same brand rear bike rack. Clicked in and the bags are spacey enough to fit a meals worth of groceryβs.
