Nice tires – they do what I wanted them to do – they stick. They handle mud/snow/rocks/hard pack very well and they are rugged. Racing on these tires, however, would be tough – they are fairly heavy with large tread and take some work to keep them rolling. If your just out to enjoy the ride in whatever the weather throws at you – these would be a good choice.

I have been running this front tire tubeless on Sunringle mulefut 80s for about a year now. It provides quality traction and lower rolling resistance than the Minion FBR that came on my fat bike from the factory. With stans sealant I haven’t needed to add air even once.

I cut a sidewall on my Origin8 26″ x 4.8″ tire and i replaced it with the Maxxis Minion FBF. This tire might seem more expensive than other 26″x 4.8″ FB tires, but the extra expense is worth it. I run this tubeless at 7 PSI and I could go lower. The sidewalls have extra protection from abrasion and cuts, and the deep unidirectional tread grips and holds, especially in the corners. I liked the FBF so much that I purchased the FBR, but have not yet installed it on my bike. I will wear our the existing rear tire first.

Incredible. Virtually unstoppable. I ride a fat tire bike every day possible. I live in Southern California and ride off road. The terrain is a combination of sand and gravel. So far, no punctures or loss of control while using. Highly recommend this tire.

Best tires on the market for my Salsa Beargrease!!

I replaced the stock no name brand tires on my fatbike with these Minions. Maxxis makes some of the best MTB tires and so far the Minions have lived up to Maxxis’ reputation. Excellent grip and float over the terrian. The FBF is for the front, the center lugs offer grip and low rolling resistance. The FBR is for the rear and provides lots of traction over all kinds of surfaces including snow.

Awesome tire stays on sides now had smaller knobs 4″ tires. On the down side it seams like the smaller knobs work better on ice. The 4.9 fits my Rad Rover

I didnβt realize how much better new tires would feel comfort wise. I could have bought a factory replacement, but they wouldnβt quote on a ship date. This arrived within a week, and I like the raised lettering better than I thought I would.
