Trek X-Caliber8 2021 29β 2.3 DHR II F/RBoy Howdy, these tires are amazing!!! Iβm running two DHRβs front and back. My bike is an XC bike and I started MTBing the beginning of this summer. I use my bike for everything from long rides, bike parks, trails ect. I live in Denver so there are many options when it comes to biking. The XC tires that I had before were great on pavement and could launch you really fast like a rocket on flat surfaces. Where they felt short however was uphill and on loose terrain. As Iβm progressing, my ability to do some things were starting to become hindered. The tires just didnβt have enough grip when I needed it and they would either spin out or it wouldnβt give me confidence on certain obstacles. Then was bestowed upon me the MAXXIS minion DHR II. And a light came down from the sky and said upon me, βThou shalt have the power to shredβ. Hahaha Okay but for real. When you hear people review tires and they say theyβre βaggressiveβ I finally felt what that meant. These tires grab and allow you to go hella fast down single track while keeping consistent stability. Theyβll whip you through berms and allow you to move side to side with a feeling, that they just want to stick. Which is great, because that will give you more confidence to use more movement and momentum on the bike. I honestly feel like I go faster on the trails/Singletrack with these rather than my old XC tires because you clearly have more control. However, on pavement they do seem to be a little bumpy because of the deeper knobs but only if you pay attention to it. Another thing is the theyβre not as fast on flatter surfaces and understandably. If youβre looking to upgrade your bike buying tires can completely change your ride. So when it comes to the MAXXIS Minion DHR IIβs I can only think of one thing to say about them which comes from the great Billy Bob from Varsity Blues, which is, β I GIVE IT A TEN!!!β

Great seller, awesome tire! Went from a Maxxis aggressor to a minion. The aggressor is crap! The minion DHR literally grips the dirt like youβre on rails. You can really lean and have more confidence with this tire.Tire was in perfect condition, no rips, no tears, no deformations, no weird lumps or unevenness. I run tubeless, tire mounted evenly and rolls straight. Why did I wait so long to switch to the minions?! Donβt make the same mistake I did, get rid of that terrible aggressor, you will thank me for it!

I have been mountain biking for over 30 years. I was running Continental tires on my bike and washing out all the time. I am very happy with the Maxxis! After putting these tires on, I am able to climb without spinning out and taking turns much faster than I ever had. I am still testing at which speed these Maxxis will wash out and they havenβt yet. I never write reviews, but these are the most amazing tires I have used in 30 years!

Great tire that holds traction well on loose, dry and hard pack surfaces. I don’t feel the need to try any other tire for my mountain biking needs.

The old adage, you get what you pay for. In the desert rock gardens and cactuses where a flat can happen on any ride, these are my go to tires. They have great traction and are super durable when ran tubeless with a sealant.

Where I ride it is dry/loose dirt with a lot of rocks. I had the tire on as a front for a year and it worked great! Plenty of traction, good braking, and rolls quick

Tires are perfect for my wifeβs hardtail, good tread, tubeless should be quite a bit more stable then the tube tires she had which were a hybrid type tire for pavement and smooth dirt trails.

good traction with low rolling resistance.
