Iβve been using a Small Lizard Skins li9960 neoprene chain stay protector for the past year. I ride year round, an average of 5 days a week. That means Iβve ridden w/the Lizard Skins protector in all types of weather & temperatures.Lizard Skins are made in the USA, made w/neoprene, sewn w/a tight stitch & heavy-duty thread. I have had no issues w/the stitching, no loose or hanging threads.According to the Lizard Skins website, the protectors are all 280mm long & the different sizes are designed for chain stays w/the following circumferences (weights of LS protectors):Small (21g) – 70-100 mmMedium (27g) – 100-125 mmLarge (31g) – 125-140 mmAs I stated at the beginning of this review, Iβve ridden w/the Lizard Skins chain stay protector for almost a year (July 2019). It does a great job eliminating any chain clank & damage that may be caused by the chain slapping around. I hose it down to rinse out dust & dirt when I wash my MBT. On a couple occasions Iβve agitated it in the bucket w/soap & water to clean it. Once, I put Oxiclean & soap w/water in the bucket, to really clean the dirt & lubricants out of the protector. This worked really well & did not hurt it at all.Overall, this was a great investment. Sub $10 for something that protects so well & you donβt think about when you ride. I would definitely recommend the Lizard Skins chain stay protector to anyone who was thinking about protecting their chain stay.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Low cost, great protection, easy to clean and stays where you put it. I definitely recommend measuring the widest part of the chainstay with a piece of paper or string wrapped around, but it also stretches a bit leaving some room for error. At the end of the day it serves its purpose perfectly and provides a nice aesthetic.

Bought as a βhook protectorβ for my Brompton. Cut to size and then applied it, great velcro and feel. Iβm very happy with the purchase. Impossible to find a affordable hook protector for the Brompton. Very happy with the purchase. Strong velcro, not cheap feeling at all.

Measured my chainsaw and the size I ordered claimed to be about 10mm bigger that my chainstay yet the small size really had to be stretched to its max in order to get a good velcro connection. Still fits and is super tight, just wish there was a little less velcro exposed.

It does the job

Comes at a good price. I would get size medium as the small barely fit on my bike. The material is very durable and I don’t see it coming off. I did, however, put zip ties on top just to make sure.
