I typically need to have orthotics in my everyday shoes to help with the pain due to bursa inflammation and irritation that I’ve had for the last couple of years. These Lake shoes in Wide are terrific, comfortable, and the arch support is excellent. I don’t need my orthotics in these. They even have the little ‘bump’ to help support and destress the metatarsals. Great shoes!

These shoes are pricey, and certainly more than I intended to spend, but I am so glad I bought them. Design, materials, construction and appearance are all top quality. And being available in wide sizes keeps me coming back for more – this is my third and most comfortable pair of Lake cycling shoes.

Thes are very good cycling shoes but have very high arch supports. These are OK for pedaling as you are only putting pressure on the pedals with your fore foot but when necessary they are not all that comfortable to walk in.

These are by far the most comfortable cycling shoes I’ve ever worn. I had to try three different sizes before I found the right fit, but it was worth it. They are one of the few companies that makes actually wide cycling shoes. Most other companies just use the standard sole size and increase the material above for a wide fit. Lake actually makes wide soles which support your feet much better if you have wider feet.Soles of the shoes are quite stiff for great control as well.

I got these is the wide size and they really are very comfortable. No problems getting my cleats setup (Shimano SPD-SL) and they feel right when I’m on the bike. I have trouble getting a good fit because my right foot is a little bigger so I tend to have to go up a half size and that makes the shoe a bit too big for my right foot and way too big for my left foot. With this wide size show I did not need to go up a half size so a good fit for both my feet. The only reason for the 4 stars is it’s very easy to scuff-up the leather and I already have marks on the sides of both shoes. Maybe if the shoes were black it would be less noticeable but it’s easy to see the marks on these maroon shoes. I’d suggest keeping leather cream/polish around for touch ups and just to protect the exposed leather when you get scrapes.

I wanted lightweight quality shoes that for my wide feet. These shoes are great feeling my foot fits firmly. The latches are easy to adjust and release quickly.

My feet are 11.5 US 4E in walking shoes. I purchased the 46.0 EU wide fit. They were just a little tight in width. Sooo, I did return them (great return policy, thank you) and purchased the Lake extra wide (3E) directly from Lakes website, sorry Amazon. With about 5 or so hours of riding, no numbness or foot pain. Now I’m not constantly struggling with foot position. And enjoying foot pain free riding. I hope this helps. Being comfortable finely is nice.

What a comfortable shoe. High quality with two BOA for quick tightening and loosing and adjustment during long rides. Well worth the extra money for the wider toe box in 2E width. Iβve risen several rides over 100 miles and one at 175 miles and the shoes are comfortable.
