I bought this fork mount for my pickup truck. I mounted a 2 by 8 and bolted this down using stainless bolts. I use it about 10 times a week or so, and it has held up well so far. It has seen plenty of humidity and rain but shows no sign of rust or corrosion. Hollywood Racks have proven to be high quality and comparable to the biggest name brands in bike mounts! I paid nearly half of what the more popular names ask for similar mounts, and most people that use mine like it better. The quick release lever is strong and seems like it will hold strong against the weather and every day sun exposure in the back of my truck.I noticed a couple of reviewers mentioned that the “axis” is lower than the handle. At first I understood.. but then thought about it for a minute. Just spin the threaded cap on the other side and tighten the lever upward. I’m happy enough with this that I ordered two more. This is an outstanding bicycle fork mount!

This fork mount is very well made. Note however that the lever is actually longer than the distance from the mounting plate to the pin. This means if you mount it directly to your vehicle as-is, you will not be able to spin the handle around. This isn’t a big deal however, since you can easily turn the thumb screw on the opposite side finger tight, and then just flip the lever to fully tighten the bolt. For my installation, I simply cut a 2×4 to the exact width of the mounting plate, and secured the mount with screws. This raises the distance from the base to the screw, and allows it to turn freely.I have two of these mounted to a 2×4 which runs along the width of the bed of my truck. The bikes are very stable, no need to secure the long 2×4 to the vehicle. This makes it removable for when I’m not using it.

this product seemed well-made and knowing the construction of my vehicle I was able to install that easily but if you have no knowledge of what’s under the sheet metal of the bed of your truck you should probably ask a mechanic to put it on for you it looks good stays out the way not much in the way of security features but there are two small voids in the frame of it that you can run a cable lock through so it does somewhat have security features seems to be made out of tough materials it holds my mountain bike in the back just fine even over rough roads and terrain I do however have to put a bungee cord across chsinstays to hold the back of it in place over big bumps or fast turns.

We installed ours to wood post then sent a ratchet strap through the bike body and secured it to the hooks by the tailgate. This makes the bikes easy to reach from the tailgate (8foot bed). Very sturdy. Tired of using a bike rack on the back of the travel trailer… almost lost a bike… thanks to the passing motorist for letting us know. This seems like a better and safer way to travel. We fit 3 bikes. Daughterβs bike is 2β smaller so we were able to mount them closer to each other. Still room for more bikes.

I like this product. Holds bike firmly on my tool box. Only drawback is that they could have put screws in the order. Having to buy screws was an extra trip I didnβt need. Also the middle holes are smaller. Donβt get why not just one size!

It works but I wish it can center the shaft to make the installation easier.

I mounted this on the deck of my fishing boat so that I could take my gravel bike up north when I take the boat. My bike has thru axles and this product works with my setup. Easy install. Secure fit for transport. I love it.
