This eBike is good for those who still want to pedal for exercise some of the time. The 2″ wide tires can be inflated up to 60 psi which reduces the rolling resistance to where you can ride at 12 – 13 MPH without using the motor. If you get tired or the hills or headwinds kick in, you can engage the motor for assistance. I’ve already completed a couple of 30+ mile rides where I didn’t use the motor at all. I feel comfortable enough that I could finish a ride under pedal power if I used up the battery.One negative. I feel the color display is less useful than the monochrome display on some of their older models. It provides less information and is harder to see in bright sunlight.

I wanted an Ebike that was lightweight, powerful and yet looked like a regular mountain bike and would be hard to identify as an Ebike at a glance. The Heybike Race Max fits that bill perfectly and in addition is also very affordable. For around $900 you get a beautiful, lightweight, high quality Ebike with a 500W motor and removable 48V 12.5 Ah battery. It came packed very well and there was not a scratch or any damage at all. It only took around 20 mins to get it all put together. I did have an issue with one of the inner tubes popping while inflating but Heybike support was fantastic and had me order a new tube on Amazon and reimbursed me the cost. The bikes performance exceeded my expectations. The bike comes default with 3 pedal assist levels but you can expand that in the settings to 5 or even 9 levels with the ability to customize how much assist you get at each level. I have mine set to 5 levels. Iβve had it up to 26.5 mph on pedal assist 5. I think with a gear change it can go quicker as I was limited to pedaling speed there. I did a 14 mile cruise yesterday staying mostly in PA 3 mode and It still had full bars on the battery when I got home so the range is seemingly fantastic as well. Overall I couldnβt be happier with the bike and highly recommend it.

This bike has exceded all my expectations! Quality is first rate on every component. The battery, charger and electric software are first rate.Two issues, manual is very weak in explaning custom progaming and default modes. Still unable to have trip auto reset when power is turned off, although I can reset manually. Also the stock rim tape is total garbage! Six flats later, I installed 22mm Velox cloth tape rim strips. Problem solved. I have put on a couple of hundred miles on the bike including a 50 mile ride and have never had battery power go down more than one bar! I do like to assist my pedal effort more than most. The bike is so wonderful that I ordered a CityScape for my wife.

I just received the bike. The box was damaged by FedEx, however nothing was missing or damaged on the bike.Assembly was straight forward – instructions could be better – and after about 45 minutes, the bike was perfect. All it needed was a bit of adjustment to the gear shifter and air for the tires.Nice to have all needed tools included!After charging the battery, I took it out for a spin. It really needs a bit of adjustment to your riding habits. This bike is very responsive and takes off much faster than expected, but that is just me.It would be nice to see some original accessories like fenders or rear rack for this bike. The website does not list anything.

Heybike Race Max 27.5″ Electric Bike is an excellent bike. I sold my old Trek mountain bike on ebay, ordered a new eBike from Amazon. Assembled and tested and totally happy with the design, performance, the quality of product, and the value for the price. Highly recommend this eBike to seniors who need additional power for long distance and uphill trails. Very safe and intuitive operation, and no orientation required from the beginning. Now I can go back to my favorite bike routes of 20-30 miles. Thank you Heybike.

We researched E-Bikes looking for light weight, distance and reasonably priced. This bike has all of this! Absolutely love this bike. easy to assemble, simple instructions, all the tools needed to assemble and then some. Smooth comfortable ride and quick- We rode for 13 miles and still had 3/4 of our battery life. They are also fast-I got up to 22mph and probably could have gone faster. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE is outstanding! They have been extremely communicative and that doesnβt happen very often these days. Make the purchase-You wonβt regret it!PS-At one of our stops a stranger stopped to question our purchase-We believe their will also be purchasing a set of these bikes!

I have received my bike assembled it and am loving riding it around. The bike is well made and does exactly what I wanted. My only complaint would be the assembly instructions. They are a little confusing and could give a few more steps so that it is easier to follow. That being said it was very simple after I figured out the missing steps and all is wonderful with the bike.
