As you can see by my pics, these bikes are mounted high and tight as possible for clearance reasons.I turned the outer facing pedals inward (or remove them altogether) for extra clearance as you walk past to reduce snags!WORKED AS PLANNED and room to spare! ?Now, on to the pedal mount itself. I used 3 screws (provided) to one wood STUD for sturdiness. I used the supplied screw in drywall anchors on the lower wheel brackets as they donβt support much of the weight and work fine here.I measured for the center width of a stud onto the pedal mount face and using the slot at the top as the center 3rd hole, found it did NOT accommodate the screw, so I had to open it a little with a dremel tool. ODD Gootus took the time to make that slot for aesthetics, but not for the screw to fit through the slot-why??? Fix this gootus!!!NOTE-> If you have to use ANCHORS for the pedal mount, I STRONGLY recommend you purchase others like -( EZ-Anchor Drywall Toggle Anchor or Toggler Anchor )- for sheetrock/drywall. The twist in version provided do work, but nowhere near as strong as the aforementioned two! After all, your repeatedly setting a bike awkwardly in most cases onto that one pedal mount and you want long term sturdiness, not the possibility of falling off ontoβ¦???, and if it means you need to get a competent installer to do this because you never used a stud locator before, just think of all the hardship you will cause to yourself if the wall has holes from rip out, the bike has damage from falling now, the car has damage it fell onto, or it fell on a family member with injuries, (as some do mount bikes inside as a norm today!)Some reviewers complained that their pedals donβt fit the mount, and that is a possibility as some rather bulky pedals do exist mostly kids bikes. But, shouldnβt you have tested that fit BEFORE you installed the mount if you have no plans on changing pedals as many avid riders do??? And the mount is rated for 150lbs. If your bike is over 70lbs, (very rare) I rather doubt itβs wise to be using this type of mount unless itβs for display purposes only!Thatβs my .02 worth RH-Tx

I’d like to say this was simple to install but it really wasn’t. I wanted one screw in each bracket to be in a stud and I didn’t have the wall to put the second screw for each bracket in so I used scrap wood to mount them. They are cute brackets and would look fine inside. I included photos so you can get an idea how your bike may hange. I have an old tiny garage (8′ door with about 1′ on either side). I hung the bike as high as I could without lifting above the shoulders so that my car doors could open without worrying about hitting the bike. Honestly, I never worry about hitting the bike. It obviously would be more of a concern if I didn’t hang it higher but at this height, I can lift it without strain and have no worries about hitting when driving in or opening doors and unloading things. It’s been hanging for a year and a half I believe. It is a bit frustrating to have to adjust to the peddle being straight up as the gears tend to turn while I lift the bike up. I also rarely land the tires right on the brackets but can easily adjust the bike to get it sitting correctly. I installed the entire thing myself but it would have been much easier with help. I hung the middle peddle bracket first and then the rear wheel bracket. After putting the bike up there, I marked where to put the front bracket and pulled the bike down to secure. It does exactly what I wanted and helps me get things up off the ground and secure the bike on the wall out of the way but with easy access to the outside.

Product works as described. Iβve only had it for a few days now, but definitely opens up floorspace and gets my additional bikes out of the way. Installation was simple, but I could see it being a little bit more difficult for those who arenβt used to not having perfect lines.Essentially I threw the pedal bracket up where I thought the bike should go and then eyeballed The wheel resting plates. I made sure they took a little bit of weight off the pedal hook so that weight would be evenly distributed. Although likely not perfectly balanced, you canβt tell. The bike seem very stable however and Iβm not worried about them.

Hung 2 bikes with ease

Was pretty easy to install and is def easy to use for lighter bikes. Put the pedal support on a stud, but the drywall anchors worked fine for the wheel supports.

Exactly what I wanted. I like it so much I bought another one for my apartment out of town. Gets the bike of the ground and out of the way. I’ll mount it higher in the apartment, but in my garage at home I just wanted it up a little. So easy. Sturdy. Use your own mounting screws and anchors though.
