These replacement pads are easy to install, and bring your shoes back to original spec so you can keep on movin’. the replacement heel pad is for all ec90 slx, ec90 acc, and ec70 outsoles. these outsoles are found on empire slx, empire acc, factor acc, factress acc, trans e70, and espada e70 shoes. the kit comes with left and right replacement pads and includes hardware.

This item did not fit my old shoes, but did fit my new shoes.

After owning my shoes for five years, the heels were toast. These were an easy replacement. The package includes the pads and bolts, but I wish it came with the anchor nuts too. After years of use, mine were a bit rusty and hard to thread the new bolts into them.

Being able to replace these in my Giro Empires will extend the life of my shoes for a few more seasons which is great because I wonβt have to break in a new pair of shoes.

Kinda pricey, but for some reason the orignal heelset kind of disintegrated on me. So I had to find them here on Amazon. I got two sets in case my other pair of Giro shoes have a heel pad issue. The sets I found at the time I purchased were fine for my small feet (7.5 American men’s)….make sure you get the right size for your shoes. They seem fine, haven’t had the chance to try them out yet.

Do not buy- NOT from manufacturer. Screws are too short and super cheap metal, plastic is super cheap as well, I tightened to less than half the recommended torque and the screw lodged in my carbon sole and caught the other side. While slowly trying to unscrew it it stripped. Plastic heel plate pulled off as I kept working on it. Have tried screw extractors and oils to loosen it, no luck. $425 shoes absolutely ruined.

Worked perfectly to replace the heels on my worn GIRO cycling shoes, which I love. Only one suggestion, it would have been nice to include a small Allen wrench to fit the screws. Still 5 stars.
