   I just received my shoes. Very thankful for the folks who left reviews, stating how they fit. It is true, these shoes run a whole size small. I wear 9.5s in just about every shoe/brand I wear. I ordered a 44, due to the customer reviews, and they fit perfect. Eager to get on my first ride with them. The construction and quality appears to be very robust! I would have left 5 stars, but the sizing chart is mis-leading.

   I bought these to replace an aging pair of five ten hellcat pros. These shoes perform great paired to Crank Brothers Enduro clipless pedals. I bought a half size larger than my typical running shoes and they fit great. One of the down sides of the five ten was how poorly they she’d water. The joke is that they weigh 5lbs dry and 10lbs wet. The giros had no issues with shedding water and druing quickly.I was worried about leaving the five ten brand, but I’m glad I did. These are much nicer and function just as I would expect.

   Good downhill shoes, but not a trail shoe. If laces tight, there are major hot spots on the top and outside of the foot. The heels are not cupped well either. A fairly heavy shoe at over 520 grams. I tried to contact the seller but amazon keeps giving me an error. I’d love to see about getting these returned.

   Well built shoe. I’ve probably ridden 100 miles in them but the soles still make my feet unbearably sore. Especially on rides over 10 miles, I’ve had cut a few rides short from the pain. I’ve switched back to my old shoes until I can find an insert I like. Note: I’ve never had to wear inserts on any other shoe and I own sport specific shoes for just about every sport there is.

   Easy to get a perfect fit with the laces and can adjust during the ride with the top velcro strap. Huge improvement in feel over an XC shoe and decent hiking traction. Toe box is a bit small but the 47 fit true to size (US13).
