   High quality but be aware this is only one….not a pair. I can see this thing lasting for many years. It is heavy duty, well constructed, and as far as I can tell all major metal components are of stainless steel. This was actually a bit of overkill for my needs, a 15 ft. aluminum War Eagle whereas this buckle is big enough for any size boat. The operation is smooth and effortless. Releasing the tension is with the touch of a lever without much effort. I like the fact that after it is retracted it very easily pulled back out for reattachment without have to press a release. You can have your boat buckled down and be gone in no time flat. like most everything, you get what you pay for and though a bit pricey it is by far the best tie down I have used and I have used just about every kind there is. I highly recommend this product.

   Got this for my Xpress Bay Boat to go from the trailer to the bow as a backup safety.It was easy to install although I had to drill out the hole for the bolt, so I could use the same bolt that was in my trailer, but it was simple and it works GREAT!!A++++++

   I had one that is not stainless . I bought about ten years ago that rusted badly. I use it with just a small amount of force to keep the bow from bouncing and rotating the bow roller back and forth. Having a trailer with all rollers and using a gunnel strap the boat was always slightly in motion. Hope this review helps

   Warning – Do not use included locknut. Go to your local hardware store and get a nylock nut instead.You will only be able to get included locknut on part way and when you try to remove it you can’t. You will ruin the bolt because you will have to cut it off. These are SS so a large bolt is pricey. Fortunately I was able to save the bolt. Just a little forewarning so you don’t have to go thru what I and others have gone thru.Other than that, this is a great retractable strap, works well and is of good quality.I would recommend it to anyone with the above warning.

   Product arrived on time but without the 7/16 bolt, washer and nut. I’ll now need to go to the hardware store to buy it myself.The product itself looks great. Waiting on install.
