The kestrel lace features a stealthยฎ C4โข outsole and wider cleat interface that is compatible with every type of spd pedal. The shank of the kestrel lace is nylon, making it about 15 percent less stiff than the kestrel, while an eva midsole provides excellent shock absorption.

Runs narrow. I have a pair of 5 Ten flats that fit perfect in this size but these make my feet go numb. Hopefully they break in with a few more uses.They did not โbreak inโ, had to return for a 1/2 size larger and they are still a bit tight but I do better with wide shoes usually. Otherwise they have been a good shoe.

Good platform. Fit well. The cleet area has ample room for cleet and pedal engagement without trimming the sole any. Not as walkable as I expected, but pedal great.

I have nothing to compare these shoes to, but I really wish that they came with better insoles. This is an easy/cheap fix, replace with new ones. The soles are definitely stiff, as they should be. Build quality looks good and they are easy to clean. Iโm using these with Shimano SPD XT with the cage and I donโt have any issues getting clipped or unclipped. Would be a five star review if they had better insoles.

I got the size 11, and it’s the first mtb shoe that fits me well. The toe box is pretty wide and my heels stay in place. Unfortunately, the tongue of the shoe is pretty slim which results in some pressure. I don’t notice it when riding, though.
