The fit of the new (2021) Hellcat Pro is nothing like the previous versions that I have owned. The toe box is now WAY to wide, with WAY to much height. This creates a ridiculous amount of volume in the front of the shoe. There was nothing I could do with the laces, or aftermarket footbeds, to fill the space.Five Ten had a great thing going for many years, but these have been given the Adidas treatment and I will have to find another brand going forward.

Two months of riding and these are falling apart. My previous generation five ten helcats are two years old and in better shape. Very disappointing.
Why –
I really wanted to keep these shoes. They looked amazing, felt super comfortable to walk and ride, and seemed of great quality (better than the new five tens now that adidas bought the company). The reason why I didn’t keep them is that they were just a tad too small for me and the velcro strap was ridiculously short. My feet and ankles are on the thinner side of normal and the two sides of the strap barely met without cutting my circulation. Nevertheless, I liked them so much otherwise that I would’ve found a way to fix/extend the strap if they had been my size (which was unfortunately no longer available). I got a newer model of the Hellcats and they are ok but don’t feel of the same quality as these.

The shoes worked great for the first few months, then they fell apart. I enjoyed the shoes, as they were comfy, and light weight. The durability of these shoes are poor. I have owned 3 other five ten shoes (kestrels, freerideers, and kestrel pro with the boa), and all of the others lasted for yearsβ¦ These hellcats only lasted for about 3-4 months of use. I live in Alaska, and the riding window up here is about 4-5 months during the summer, I didnβt get a full season out of theseβ¦ Wonβt be buy this one again. 2 stars for the comfort and fit, but thatβs about allβ¦

My son is hard on his gear, and he wore these for all sorts of riding, almost every day for about 2 months. The soles at the forefoot eventually peeled off completely on both shoes. One round of shoe goo extended the life, but they are done now.

These shoes work great with the RemTech magnetic pedals.
