I like this helmet, and my 18-month-old loves it (he calls it “Emmit”). My only complaint is what the company advertises as being the super easy adjustment. There is only 1 adjustment point – the strap that buckles under the chin can be shortened or lengthened – which is very easy, but it’s not sufficient to accommodate the range of head sizes suggested in the description. My son’s head is exactly 47 cm. I can tighten the chin strap sufficiently, but the side and back straps are too long and can’t be adjusted. This causes the chin strap to sit on his chin rather than below it. If I tighten the chin strap more, I can force it to stay under his chin, but then the side straps gap. So the helmet does fit a 47 cm head, but the straps don’t adjust to accommodate this small size. Regardless, he likes it, agrees to wear it, and it works well enough, so we’re keeping it. I’ve not found any other helmet on the market for such a small child, so we’re making do with what we can get.

I ordered this helmet for a 19 month old with head circumference of 48 cm (19 inches), 90th percentile for age. It was so incredibly tight, I couldn’t even slide it on completely; it mostly sat on the crown area and didn’t come down over the forehead at all. A decent helmet, the front comes out a bit in a visor shape for sun protection, and there is padding along the crown and sides. I checked measurements again and removed some padding and it was still a snug fit. Beware if you have a big-noggin child like mine.

I purchased this for my grandson who is 10 months old. The helmet appears to fit decent when he is alert and upright, but the minute he slumps over asleep the thing covers half his face. This is the only reason I gave the comfort 2 stars, because I can’t imagine that would be very comfy. Definately lightweight and not outragously expensive.

This helmet fits our 1.5-2 year old very well and is easy to put on and take off. The chin clip works well and is comfortable. We got the strap adjusted right away and haven’t had to move it again. He does get a sweaty head when using it on a hot day and eventually wants to take it off so it may be a little hot. But in all fairness, it’s hot outside in the NC summer! Great and cute helmet for a good price.

My 20 month old loves his bike rides with daddy. Heβs not a big fan of hats but he keeps his helmet on with no complaints for the entire bike ride. Sometimes over an hour. And he looks so cute in it!

This light comfortable helmet arrived just in time for my granddaughterβs birthday. Once I adjusted it for her small head, our two-year-old would not take it off! I am very pleased with this quality Bell helmet.

My 8 month old is busy, busy! I wanted to get out and do more than just walks. He is at least 23 pounds and very study. I made sure his head circumference was within the recommended measurements. The helmet has worked out perfectly. He loves the bike rides and I am getting exercise!
