I did not even used this item once and I had to return it. As soon as I tried it on, I noticed something bothering my head in different areas. This helmet has very limited padding and it has no option to add more padding. Also, the release buckle is very hard to operate. When you buckle it in, it works great, but to release it, you have to press really hard. I regret not taking photos before I returned it to better explain these points. I feel that for the price, I should get much better quality.

Fits well, great vents

It looks so nice and itβs so light that I canβt even be aware that I wear a helmet. Highly recommend

Perfect so far. Been riding in 100Β° weather and its as cool as my Aether that I love. But more aero than the Aether. Adjusters work better too. Pricey but the best usually is.

My Head Size: 22.25 inches (56.515 cm)Size Ordered: Medium (55-59 cm), 270gPrevious Helmet: Specialized Propero 2 (554-60 cm), 259gI replaced a 12 yr old helmet Specialized Propero 2, which was a bit lighter, and a bit larger overall. The Giro Eclipse Spherical cuts the wind WAY better and is WAY more quite at high speed. It has less vents than my previous helmet, but feels just as cool or cooler – it has never felt hot, even on 90Β° rides with 90% humidity.I’ve not found a good way to stick my riding shades into the helmet like I could on the Specialized.

I have the kind of head that does not take kindly to helmets. At 59cm I hover between medium and large. Usually I have to chose between tight and uncomfortable or a one that wobbles and looks like Toad from Mario Bros. Ordering a helmet online is a huge gamble. I reluctantly tried the Eclipse in Medium and it fits like a like an absolute dream. No hot spots! Itβs a bit more low profile than other helmets, so it looks great too. Furthermore, the double layer MIPS design is not only comfortable, itβs most definitely safer than my previous helmet, Bontrager Velocis. The best feature, however, may be the black magic level of ventilation while maintaining aero profile. I can immediately tell that air is much less turbulent as it quietly passes both over and through the helmet. This helmet really exceeded my expectations. I will use this for triathlons and as a daily driver in any kind of weather. I might even order another to swap out for different riding types. Just a few drawbacks: The entire rear securing mechanism is not very robust. The plastic is thin and the dial is noticeably lower quality than a Boa dial. This helmet does not extend to lower part of the occipital bone, so it leaves that area where head meets neck a little vulnerable. Neither of these seem to be problematicβ¦ that is until something breaks. Overall, the best helmet Iβve ever put on my head.
