I bought this to better mount my ebike battery. The bracket itself is well made and includes the needed screws, hose clamps, etc. It has everything you need except one part; a spacer to fit between the bar and the cantilevered end. The bar mounts to existing bosses on the bike. This leaves it about 3mm off the tube at the end away from the stock bosses. If you hose clamp it in place, you’ll bend the bar. I used some plastic I had lying about and held it in place with the hose clamp. I also found the included screws to be too long and had to pack three washers under the screw head to mount it. Now that it is all in place, I anticipate it will be very useful to keep the battery in place.

My battery bracket did line up with my water bottle screws on my bike and this did the trick. I was very impressed with what came with the kit. They provided cable ties, screws, hose clamps and foam tape to put on the inside of the hose clamps so you don’t damage your frame. I used cable ties instead to secure it down to the frame but I did use the foam tape to put between the battery bracket and the battery holder to provide some cushion. I also like that they provided a strap to go around the whole battery to add additional security.

The water bottle bosses on my frame were two low to fit the battery tray and the battery was wiggling loose with another bracket I tried. This kit solved both problems.

Prior to knowing this product existed, I had to mount the battery backwards to get the screws to line up with the mounting plate. With added zip ties or Velcro straps, it held securely but I was never confident enough in it being a long term solution. And I would not feel safe doing any significant drops.Enter this mounting plate. Now I have my battery hose-clamped in as well as one screw in water bottle boss. The 7 lb battery isn’t going anywhere. This also allowed me to mount the battery in the correct direction, so being able to clean up the cabling was another plus. I can now ride more securely knowing the battery won’t snap off mid-ride.

I like this product, but it did not gain a lot of support fit me on my downtube aluminum frame.I wish it was wider with some curved sides to spread out the lids of my 17.5Ah Shark battery for the BAFANG kit.I ended up making a molded side supports using Bondo and 3M trim tape to firmly adhere the supports to the frame. That way the bettery had a good 3” of support. I also had to add a Bob mount for the upper battery support holes.No more zip ties!
