These are DYNAPLUG BICYCLE TIRE REPAIR PLUGS. Dynaplug Bicycle Tire Repair Plugs are a sealant-friendly, unique viscoelastic impregnated rubber that bonds instantly and permanently with your tire, and the nonabrasive brass tip will not scratch your rim or puncture your rim tape. No need to remove the tire, no messy glues or solvents, just plug and ride! Depending on the type of puncture, choose SOFT, BULLET or POINTY. Dynaplug is the fastest, easiest and all-round best way to repair a tubeless tire mid-ride. When needed, just move whatever caused the puncture, firmly push the novel insertion tube straight (without twisting) into the hole and extract the tool depositing the repair plug in the tire, done! Made in the USA.
- Dynaplug 5-pack of POINTY NOSE BRASS Tip Repair Plugs are best for the smallest of holes that sealant just canβt handle.
- When needed, just remove whatever caused the puncture, firmly push the toolβs novel insertion tube straight (without twisting) into the hole and extract the tool depositing the repair plug in the tire, done! Used in the tread, sidewalls and along the rim.
- Store these sticky plugs in the PVC tray packaging or in the SS insertion tube! Rolling in wax paper also can work.
- If a single plug is not enough to seal a hole, just fold the βtailβ flat on the tire; hold it with your finger and stick another one in there! Add as many plugs as needed, folding each tail against the tire as you insert plugs. A plug tail can be snipped off later if it bothers you; trim to about 4mm long depending on the location!

After going tubeless on my road bike (Schwalbe Pro One) I tried other, similar, products with just the ‘bacon strips.’ Those worked well enough but worked their way out after 50-100 miles. After swallowing the $60 price-point for the Dyanplug pill, i started using these. I had a run of bad luck with punctures but the “soft nose tips” got me back on the road very quickly.I had one instance where i hit a big hole seemingly right on where an existing plug was in my tire and it must have opened more because it started to spray sealant. I pulled over, plunged another plug in and while that sealed the deal, it dislodged the tip of the first which rattled in the tire for the rest of the ride – but i was sealed from leaks and that’s what counts. The tire was pretty worn so i ended up taking it off and replacing, but the other two plugs looked good (see pic)I’ve re-upped with the new “bullet tip” normal-sized plugs as I am mildly concerned with the pointy ones damaging the rim tape should the tire go flat with one stuck in there. They are a little more difficult to plunge in but are shallower than the pointy tips and I feel a bit safer for my rim tape.At $2/plug it’s a great deal compared to replacement tubes or a new tire and in my experience, they are permanent fixes as the tip keeps them from popping out and the sealant adheres to the plug. The longest i’ve ridden a dynaplug is 1,000 miles. The tire will wear out before the plug comes out.

I bought these as a refill pack. These plugs work really well to fix tubeless tires out on the trail. They fit really well into the Dynaplug tool that you use to fix your tire with. The metal tip works really well to get through the tire and then it holds in place when you pull it back out. I have a rear tire right now with about 3 of these plugs in them and I have had no leaks at all. You will spend a few bucks for these plugs and save yourself many more dollars by not replacing your tires. These are a must have if you are riding tubeless.

These work brilliantly on smaller punctures that sealant refuses to fix. I run higher pressures (over 80psi) and it seams sealants donβt work as advertised when you get over 70psi, even the ones Iβve tried that are rated for high pressures. Stanβs plugs will get you home but for me they were not a permanent fix as these have proven to be. I can plug a hole mid-ride and pump my tire up to 90psi with no problem. I havenβt tried the bacon strips and my guess is they would also work but the pill takes up minimal saddle bag space and the way they are inserted makes it incredibly simple to use.

dynaplugs work great in general, but the bullet tips are straight up useless.

Absolutely easy to use and essential if you ride a tubeless tire. And if you don’t ride a tubeless tire you don’t know what you’re missing!

A couple of times I have heard the horrid hiss of air escaping during a training ride. Now I don’t have to panic that the sealant will seal fast enough. I keep these plugs and my Dynaplug case/inserter in my back jersey pocket. In less than 10 seconds I can have this in the tire and the leaking stops. Simply hit it with a bit of CO2 if you need a top off.
