I have an older used wheelset that has 15×100 thru-axle in the front. I bought a new bike that uses a fork with 12×100 thru-axle. I know that these wheelset can be converted with end-caps adapter, but I didnβt feel like researching which model this was and find the correct end-cap adapter. I had read about something like this, so I figured Iβd give it a try.It does work as advertised and easy to put on and it is a snug fit. Make sure itβs lightly greased before you install it. To take off, you just need a bit of a push from one side and it will slide out. I donβt know how well this will hold up. Iβll update the review later.

I bought this to adapt a 15mm thru axle wheel to 12mm to use on a new frame. Although this adapter does in fact down size the axle from 15mm to 12mm my wheel still did not fit in the new frame because of a couple recessed radii on the inside of the fork legs interfere with the OD of the hub axle. I ended up spending more money and getting new DT Swiss hub end caps, which should have a small OD as well as a smaller ID.

There seems to be very few options to adapt a thru-axle forks to the traditional quick release skewer mounts on my vehicle roof rack. Using this in combination with a 15x100mm thru-axle adapter allows me to use my Yakima Steelhead from the mid 90’s on my current vehicle.

As intended converted 15mm TA to 12mm, no end caps needed. And can’t believe no disk brake adjustment needed for older wheels, new forks.

The Disc Trucker fork has guides for a 12mm axle. So, even though this does convert the inside diameter to 12mm, the hub end caps still get in the way.I suspect this will affect most steel forks but maybe not carbon fiber. My advise is to check that your 15mm hub fits inside the dropouts before buying this

Product was exactly as described; a sleeve to allow a wheel with a 15mm thru axle bore to be used with a 12mm thru axle. Dimensionally correct in all ways for use on my road bike with standard 100mm spacing.

Used to convert my older 15 mm through axle MTB front wheel for use on my new gravel bike that has a 12 mm through axle fork. Note- it has to be a non βboostβ front wheel. 12 mm through axle forks are 100 mm wide, So a this axle will not convert a boost (110mm wide) Front wheel with a 15 mm through axle down to 12 mm. For nonboost 15 mm hubs though itβs a winner. Really nice finish and really good tolerances. There is no slopp between this conversion piece and my hub. There is also no slop or looseness between the conversion peace in my 12 mm through axle. Surprisingly well-made and surprisingly low price. Highly recommended.
