I have searched, purchased and returned multiple bike racks (those were not platform racks, they were hanging bike hitch mount racks) and this is THE hitch rack for you if you are searching for a rack that can actually fit 4 bikes AND is easy to manage. Hitch bike racks that hang bikes will make your life miserable when dealing with the bikes. This platform rack is simple and secure. The PROS:- Very reasonably priced- Easy to assemble- Sturdy (in the mount and in how it positions the bikes)- Tilts up and secures when no bikes are on it- Has a lock at its base (and you can get a security cable that integrates to lock bikes within the rack but you need to purchase this separately, it’s only like $15)The CONS:- You can not open your trunk when bikes are on this rack.- Has a pin you need to unscrew to tilt up/down (easy to do, but not as simple as a button or lever). This is a totally minor thing… just saying as that could be an issue for some.PROS totally outweigh the cons, especially for the price. If you need a hitch-based rack for 4 or more bikes, this is the way to go if you want something that can easily be put on and off, it’s surprisingly light weight and easy to store. Thule and Yakima are HEAVY, overpriced and will NOT fit 4 bikes without a fight each time you put them on. Cheaper ones like Allen are light and manageable, but again, are an even tougher struggle with your bikes. That said… if you’re only looking to rack 2 bikes, a hanging rack would be sufficient, no need for a platform, but get a 4 bike rack and not a 2 bike rack.

It was reasonably easy to assemble and install on the car. It seems very sturdy and is very easy to use. I was able to adjust for both my kids bikes as well as mine easily. The bikes were solid on our drive and Iβm confident using this bike rack.

This thing hauled 3 big electric bikes 600 miles and didnt flinch.. I think our load out on it was 275lbs with no problem. I did have to add some tie down anchors though. The mounting system for heavier bikes in subpar but. Home depot had some 5$ things we bolted right to it.

I decided on this bike rack after reviewing quite a few online. My only criteria was 4+ bikes at a price I felt was reasonable for my usage. All parts were in the box and instructions were clear. There were some tools in the box but I always use my own for assembly. I do keep the provided tools in my vehicle in case of emergency.Platform mounts are longer but you wont have to worry about clips and straps scratching and scuffing your vehicle. This also keeps all parts of the bike from touching other bikes. It will take a bit longer the first time you put your bikes in as you learn to βnestβ them and prevent anything from touching one another. And also to learn the strap placement on each bike frame. After that a breeze.I bought a clamp to minimize any extra play between the receiver and bike rack before I used this for the first time. However the bike rack fits extremely well in my Draw-Tite brand receiver. I can probably forgo the clamp on short trips. I like that it folds up if you want it to.Tailgate access on a Dodge Journey is not possible with bikes installed closest to the tailgate. It is possible if there are no bikes are installed and the posts are down, or if a bike is installed at the rearmost position only (the later is not the recommended order to install bikes). It would be nice if it could swing down for access as I have seen on some other models, but was not necessary for me.All in all, I have been happy with this investment and have recommended to others.

I love the rack and wanted to buy another one but price increases by $50 and I got a different one instead. I will buy more bike racks since itβs part of my business but the price increase is disappointing and will not buy more. Regardless love the one I got itβs a good one, I recommend it, but their competitor rack is just as good and cheaper.

All my biking friends have the hanging style. It is very difficult to load 4 bikes on such racks. This is fantastic, easy to load and so sturdy! I assembled it easily (65 yo gal) and it is not to heavy for me to handle alone. It slips into my receiver easily. I cannot believe the quality for such a low price.

I installed this on my 2022 Tesla Model Y. It was easy to assemble and install into the hitch receiver. From reading about this rack on various forums, I knew the hitch pin lock would not fit within the Tesla’s hitch area so bought a Curt right angle lock that actually fits the threaded bolt that comes with the rack (see picture). Worked perfectly. The hitch connection is very sturdy and doesnt budge but the rack itself has a bit of play. I am referring to the part that the bikes sit on rather than the part that goes into the car. Nothing to worry about, I think, and perhaps that is by design?Bikes are easy to load and unload. Lots of options for different configurations and sizes. Given the price point, this rack is well worth it.

Exceptional quality at a great value. I just couldnβt justify $900 for a bike rack. This fit the bill. Equally as nice as the others.
